The Roots of Rockers

It was the summer of 1977 and we were shooting Rockers in St. Ann’s, on the north side of Jamaica. The actors and the crew carried supplies and equipment through the hills to shoot a scene in a ganja field.

Probably dusted off from a locked trunk in the Greek island of Andros, Rockers' director Ted Bafaloukos shares a narrative and behind the scenes photography of one of the greatest movies concerning the Jamaican musical diaspora. You know that movie with the rude-bwoy rastman Horsemouth? Exactly, take in the amazing interview from Vice.
