Those Canadian Awards - Stylus Edition

A View From Above, the name of this blog. The essential concept is the lifestyle of the author, Safari647 aka myself. Living in Toronto, Canada and being able to live in various places to have a true perspective of the good and the bad of T-Dot. Here's a post about the Stylus DJ Awards, that will be held @ the Capitol Event Theatre in Toronto this monday.

The institution that is the Stylus Group is not the focus of the rant or issue. I find that they have the position to adapt to the changes. Those changes:

  1. the saturation of the MP3 servicing
  2. lack of influence from major labels
  3. DJs unwilling to break new records
Just to name a few, in the meantime, it's going to be a celebration of industry folk that are complacent with their foothold in the game. I think there's time for a change and the folks that stick their neck out will be rewarded or beheaded. Anyhow, here's the nominees for domestic and international singles of the year. IF you thought any of these domestics controlled the dancefloor, give an award to that label rep!!!
